Vuyo #9

Some of the waiters at Lanzerac Wine Estate were most helpful during my watercolour exhibition in the White Wine Cellar at the start of 2025. I offered to do a small portrait of each of them to thank them for their kindness. This is a portrait of Vuyo the Barman. The light and shadow reflect the lamps in the cellar where he would come in from time to time to collect stories from the bar.  This is the 9th version of his portrait, since I mainly painted landscapes for the past 5 years.
