Tractor on the road to Ficksburg

Okay, this was not actually “on the road” but parked at the gate of a farm near the town.  It is obvious that the left-front wheel is not the real wheel. Come on now! But the wreck is testimony to two laws of aesthetics.  First – there is inherent beauty in well-designed equipment, which is also beautiful in decay. Or maybe it is just the watercolour.
